In a statement on Thursday, CDF Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba said the military had found more guns and ammunition hidden in different places, arrested Elwelu's driver and seized the vehicle he had been using, warning that anyone helping him would face consequences. ChimpReports reports the army had not disclosed the number of weapons, the charges or evidence of an armed rebellion, and Elwelu's family disputes the allegations.
