Attorney General responds in Parliament to opposition leader over arrest of Muwanga Kivumbi

Responding to Leader of the Opposition Joel Ssenyonyi in Parliament, Attorney General Sam Mayanja said the Constitution protects Muwanga Kivumbi's rights, citing Article 23 on lawful places of detention and the right to be told the reason for arrest. Ssenyonyi described Kivumbi's interception by security forces after his bail as an 'abduction' and asked whether it signalled 'the new normal'.
