Besigye appears at High Court without lawyers, says he will not return until defence team restored

Opposition figure Dr Kizza Besigye appeared before the High Court in his treason trial without legal representation. He said he would not return to court until his defence team is fully reinstated, arguing that arrests, intimidation and expulsions of his lawyers have compromised the fairness of the trial. He is charged alongside Hajj Obeid Lutale Kamulegeya and UPDF captain Denis Oola.
