Former presidential candidate Kizza Besigye, through Lukwago and Co. Advocates, served the NRM, deputy spokesman Ofwono Opondo and presidential press secretary Don Wanyama with a notice of intention to sue over an advert using a clip of him calling Museveni a "strategic thinker". Besigye said the clip distorted his remarks and was used without his consent, and demanded its withdrawal and a public apology within seven days. Wanyama called the planned suit "laughable".
