Cabinet approves draft Plant, Machinery and Vehicles Management Bill, 2026

ICT and National Guidance Minister Justine Kasule Lumumba said Cabinet, meeting under President Museveni at State House Entebbe, approved the draft Plant, Machinery and Vehicles Management Bill, 2026. According to Cabinet, the bill would bring the acquisition, use, maintenance and disposal of government vehicles and machinery under one framework in the Ministry of Works and Transport, following Auditor General reports on weak fleet management.
