In a letter dated 7 January addressed to Uganda Airlines CEO Jenifer Bamuturaki, the Criminal Investigations Directorate, working with the State House Anti-Corruption Unit, requested the airline's financial, procurement and banking records. According to the Daily Monitor, the inquiry concerns alleged abuse of office, embezzlement and false accounting, including contracts for Boeing aircraft and the London route launch.
