COSASE MPs inspect Uganda Railways Corporation assets over losses and missing wagons

Parliament's COSASE committee made an oversight visit to Uganda Railways Corporation assets, travelling by train from Kampala to Mukono, to examine issues in the Auditor General's 2025 report, including persistent losses and wagons that could not be traced, according to the Daily Monitor. URC Managing Director Benon Kajuna attributed the losses to underinvestment and deteriorated infrastructure since the 2018 concession collapse.
