Corruption & Abuse of Office Verified Uganda (national) 1 Oct 2026 Severity: 1/5

Parliament's Committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises (COSASE) suspended proceedings on a Shs140.4 billion Bank of Uganda liability after Finance Minister Henry Musasizi did not appear before it. According to the Daily Monitor, the minister had himself asked for the date, and the committee wanted him to explain the finance ministry's role in a 2017 instruction to the Bank of Uganda to issue a letter of comfort to Hassan Basajjabalaba's HABA Group; he faces possible censure.

A national event, not tied to one district.
