Court of Appeal rules High Court revision and judicial review orders cannot be appealed

According to URN, reported by The Independent, a three-justice panel of the Court of Appeal struck out an appeal against a High Court decision by Justice Jane Frances Abodo that had declined to revise proceedings in the Entebbe Chief Magistrate's Court. The justices held that neither the Constitution nor statute provides a right of appeal against orders the High Court makes in its revisionary capacity, so the Court of Appeal lacked jurisdiction. The objection had been raised by lawyers for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
