DP president Norbert Mao instructs party lawyer to seek Kyagulanyi's release and charge Bebe Cool

In a statement on DP social media, Democratic Party president Norbert Mao said he had told the party's legal adviser, Luyimbazi Nalukoola, to seek Robert Kyagulanyi's release from detention. He also asked him to bring a private prosecution against singer Bebe Cool, whom Mao accused of holding NRM processions in breach of Covid-19 rules. Mao said police had disrupted opposition gatherings but taken no action against Bebe Cool.
