The DRC government said it released 15 detainees to the AFC-M23 movement under the Doha peace process, transferring them from Beni through Uganda with the assistance of Ugandan authorities and the ICRC between 6 and 7 August. AFC-M23 said it received them in Bunagana on 7 August and thanked Uganda; it said one of the released was a Ugandan national with no connection to the movement.
