According to ChimpReports, Electoral Commission commissioner Stephen Tashobya confirmed that the contract to print ballot papers had been awarded. The outlet reports it later emerged the contract went to a foreign firm, although the PPDA had earlier ordered the process cancelled for not considering local companies.
