EC tribunal declares Ofwono Opondo unopposed as Older Persons MP (Eastern) after DP rival concedes

According to a post on X by Ofwono Opondo, reported by ChimpReports, his Democratic Party rival Mpande Joram Kigenyi conceded a petition before the Electoral Commission tribunal chaired by Justice Simon Byabakama alleging forgery in his nomination documents. Opondo said he was then declared unopposed as Member of Parliament for Older Persons for the Eastern Region.
