According to ChimpReports, the Electoral Commission accredited 1,655 domestic and international observers for the 2026 general elections, including missions from the EU, US, UK, African Union and EAC and Ugandan bodies such as the Inter-Religious Council and the Uganda Human Rights Commission. The Commission said observers must follow electoral law and a code of conduct and stay non-partisan.
