Electoral Commission announces fresh nominations to replace four deceased local council candidates

The Electoral Commission said in a public notice that fresh nominations would be held on 27 and 28 October 2025 under Section 26 of the Parliamentary Elections Act after four nominated local council candidates died. The notice listed candidates in Kyeggegwa, Bulambuli and Mukono districts, and the Commission said candidates already nominated for those positions would not need to be nominated again.
