Electoral Commission condemns Gulu rally violence and asks police to investigate

Electoral Commission chairperson Justice Simon Byabakama described the violence at Bobi Wine's Gulu rally as unfortunate and asked police to investigate and hold those responsible to account, without attributing blame. He said nominated presidential candidates may campaign anywhere in Uganda within the law and urged security agencies to use proportionate and lawful means.
