Election Related Verified Uganda (national) 2 Nov 2020 Severity: 1/5

The Electoral Commission declined to nominate independent presidential aspirant Nancy Kalembe, saying she had not shown proof of paying the 20 million shilling nomination fee. EC Chairperson Justice Simon Byabakama told her that her agents should collect her papers; according to The Independent, she was told to sort out the payment and come back on Tuesday, the last day of nominations.
