Electoral Commission nominates 11 candidates for the 2021 presidential election

The Electoral Commission concluded a two-day nomination exercise with 11 presidential candidates nominated, including incumbent Yoweri Museveni (NRM), Robert Kyagulanyi (NUP), Patrick Amuriat Oboi (FDC), Mugisha Muntu (ANT), Norbert Mao (DP) and six independents, ChimpReports reports. EC chairman Justice Simon Byabakama invited the candidates to a harmonisation meeting on 5 November and said polling and campaign dates would be announced that week.

A national event, not tied to one district.
