Electoral Commission nominates Munyagwa and Kabinga as 2026 presidential candidates

The Electoral Commission nominated Common Man's Party flagbearer Muhammad Munyagwa, who arrived about an hour before nominations closed, and Revolutionary People's Party leader Frank Bulira Kabinga to contest the 2026 presidential election. EC chairperson Justice Simon Byabakama cautioned candidates against campaigning before the official start date of September 29.
