Electoral Commission revises polling dates for Special Interest Group elections

On 17 December 2025, Electoral Commission chairperson Justice Simon Byabakama announced revised dates for elections of Special Interest Group representatives, including PWD, workers' and youth representatives, and SIG councillors. He said the changes avoid clashes with the 2026 general elections, and that dates for all other elective positions are unchanged.
