Electoral Commission rules Blaise Kamugisha overage for National Youth Committee election

The Electoral Commission found that Blaise Kamugisha, former head of the Crime Preventers' association, was above the youth age limit and therefore not eligible for election to the National Youth Committee. According to ChimpReports, the ruling followed a petition alleging that he changed his date of birth with the national registration authority on 28 October 2020, after taking part in lower-level youth elections.
