EU says it will not produce an official observation report on Uganda's 2021 elections

EU Ambassador Attilio Pacifici told Uganda Radio Network that the EU delegation would not compile an official report on the 2021 elections and would instead run a 'Diplomatic Watch' of about 70 to 80 people in 20 teams monitoring the process. He had said in June that the EU would not deploy an observer mission, citing the absence of an invitation to observers and Covid-19.
