FDC and ANT leaders announce boycott of Museveni's swearing-in ceremony

According to the Daily Monitor, FDC President Patrick Oboi Amuriat and ANT coordinator Alice Alaso rejected invitations and said they would boycott the swearing-in ceremony. They cited alleged voter intimidation, the disappearance of polling agents on election day and militarisation of the electoral process, calling the ceremony 'illegitimate'. NRM Secretary General Richard Todwong said invitations were extended to opposition parties through IPOD.
