Four Soroti District councillors petition Local Government Minister to nullify 2026/27 district budget

Four Soroti District councillors petitioned Local Government Minister Balaam Barugahara to nullify the district's 2026/2027 budget, which they say was approved at an emergency council sitting on June 12, 2026 without scrutiny by sectoral committees as the Local Governments Act requires.
