Gen Muhoozi says PLU MPs will back the President's choice for Speaker, stepping back from Among endorsement

Chief of Defence Forces and PLU leader Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba posted on X on Sunday evening that all PLU and PLU-leaning MPs would vote for whoever the President endorses for Speaker. ChimpReports reads this as a step back from PLU's earlier backing of Anita Among and Thomas Tayebwa, and reports that PLU Secretary General Daudi Kabanda posted that PLU's 302 MPs would follow the guidance.
