Government affirms Edward Rukidi Kijanangoma as new Omukama of Tooro, processes Gazette notice

State Minister for Gender and Culture Mary Kuteesa Kamuli told journalists in Kampala that the government affirms the succession of Prince Edward Rukidi Kijanangoma as Omukama of Tooro followed customary, constitutional and statutory processes, and that the ministry is processing his recognition in the Gazette. She said the Babiito Royal Clan selected him on September 9 and the kingdom's Supreme Council endorsed him on September 15, and that President Museveni would attend the coronation on September 29.
