Health Minister Baryomunsi tells Parliament medical interns must report by 15th or lose placements

Responding in Parliament to Leader of the Opposition Joel Ssenyonyi, who tabled a Uganda Medical Association letter on interns' welfare and a threatened doctors' strike, Health Minister Dr Chris Baryomunsi said interns who had not reported by the 15th would be considered to have forfeited their placements, according to ChimpReports. Ssenyonyi said many interns lacked transport, accommodation and feeding support.
