High Court dismisses Salini's Shs 11.3bn claim against government over Kampala Northern Bypass

According to The Observer, Justice Stephen Mubiru dismissed a suit by Italian contractor Salini Constructori SpA seeking Shs 11.3 billion and €2.27 million from the government and UNRA over the Kampala Northern Bypass final account. The judge found the amounts claimed had already been paid, settled through arbitration or covered by a 2015 settlement deed, and ordered costs against the Attorney General.
