High Court judge Gadenya grants mandatory bail to accused held over 180 days (robbery/attempted murder case)

In a second ruling, Justice Paul Gadenya Wolimbwa granted bail to a man charged before Nabweru Magistrate's court with aggravated robbery and attempted murder who had not been committed for trial after more than 180 days. The judge held that exceptional circumstances, the gravity of the charge and proof of land or utility bills cannot defeat the constitutional entitlement to release.
