High Court sentences UPDF soldier to 30 years for murder committed in Kole District

According to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, the High Court, presided over by Lady Justice Sarah Birungi, sentenced a UPDF private of the 5th Division Engineering Regiment to 30 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to murdering a man in Abolonyero Village, Kole District, on 29 June 2024. The ODPP said the convict had abused the trust placed in him as a member of the armed forces.
