IGG announces investigation into wealth and conduct of former Speaker Anita Among

The Daily Monitor reports that Inspector General of Government Lady Justice Aisha Naluzze Batala announced on Friday that the Inspectorate had opened an investigation into the wealth and conduct of Anita Among, Bukedea Woman MP and outgoing Speaker. Uganda Law Society President Isaac Ssemakadde said the timing, as she sought re-election as Speaker, suggested selective enforcement.
