IGG directs interdiction of URSB Registrar General and three officials over alleged embezzlement

Inspector General of Government Justice Naluzze Aisha Batala directed Justice Minister Nobert Mao to immediately interdict Registrar General Mercy Kainobwisho, Deputy Registrar General Alex Aganya, ICT Commissioner Arthur Kwesiga and Assistant Commissioner Walid Kule, saying the Inspectorate had begun investigating allegations of embezzlement, abuse of office, money laundering and maladministration. According to the Daily Monitor, the IGG also directed that a planned URSB executive training at NALI Kyankwanzi be halted and that the board chairperson make interim arrangements.
