Kashari North MP Basil Bataringaya, who is running as an independent after losing the NRM primaries to Patrick Musinguzi, was ordered to leave an NRM flag bearers' meeting at Munyonyi Primary School in Kashongi Sub-county. NRM district registrar Rodgers Mugisha said the meeting was only for NRM flag bearers, while Bataringaya said he remains loyal to the NRM and supports President Museveni's campaign.
