The Inspectorate of Government launched a five-year strategic plan for 2026 to 2030 at an event in Kampala, according to URN and Xinhua via The Independent. Inspector General of Government Aisha Naluzze Batala said the plan shifts the IG towards intelligence-led, preventive work, and officials said parts of the ombudsman function would be decentralised and prosecutions emphasised over asset recovery.
