IPOD secretariat writes to NUP asking it to formally apply for membership

According to Nile Post, a letter dated 10 October from the Inter-Party Organisation for Dialogue (IPOD) secretariat asked the National Unity Platform to formally express interest in joining, under an admission procedure. Former Constituent Assembly member Wandera Ogalo argued the requirement conflicts with the constitutional principle of unconditional state support to parties, while JEEMA president Asuman Basalirwa and Dr. Sserwambala Lawrence said admission must follow IPOD's procedure.
