According to ChimpReports, Juba County Caretaker Commissioner Kalisto Lado told foreigners, including Ugandans, Kenyans, Eritreans and Burundians, to leave small-scale retail such as chapati stalls, boda boda services and vegetable and charcoal selling to South Sudanese. He made the announcement during a visit to Kuburi Haboba market and said foreigners should move to wholesale, manufacturing and imports. Some affected traders argued the directive contradicts the East African Community treaty.
