Kitalya prison does not produce former MP Muwanga Kivumbi for bail reporting; court waives condition

Former Butambala County MP Muwanga Kivumbi was not brought to court on Monday for a bail-related appearance because he remained held at Kitalya prison, according to his lawyer Sam Muyizi. Muyizi said the court granted a defence application waiving the reporting condition of the International Crimes Division bail bond for as long as Kivumbi stays in custody. The defence said it would return to court in Butambala the following day for the state's reply to a separate bail application.
