Local Government minister meets Pentecostal church leaders over urban trade order enforcement

Minister of Local Government Raphael Magyezi held a consultative meeting with the Joint Leadership of Born Again Pentecostal Churches, led by Pastor Joseph Serwada, over complaints about enforcement of a nationwide trade order issued by circular in March, ChimpReports reports. Church leaders said some churches outside road reserves and wetlands had been affected and complained of inconsistent enforcement; the ministry pledged to investigate. The meeting agreed to tighten enforcement guidelines and allow more time for consultation and sensitisation.
