Losing NRM aspirant Frank Arinaitwe drops independent bid in Rujumbura, backs Minister Jim Muhwezi

According to the Daily Monitor, Frank Arinaitwe, who lost the NRM primary for Rujumbura County to Security Minister Maj Gen Jim Muhwezi, agreed not to stand as an independent and to support Muhwezi, at a meeting facilitated by NRM First Vice Chairman Moses Kigongo. Kigongo said the decision was voluntary and that no money was involved; Arinaitwe said it followed consultations by the office of the NRM chairman.
