Mbale City Woman MP-elect Lydia Wanyoto writes to Museveni seeking to contest for Speaker

ChimpReports reports that Mbale City Woman MP-elect Lydia Wanyoto has written to President Museveni, as NRM national chairman, and to fellow MPs declaring interest in the Speaker of Parliament position. She said the NRM parliamentary caucus, not the Central Executive Committee that endorsed incumbent Speaker Anita Among and Deputy Thomas Tayebwa, should determine the party's flag bearer.
