Military court convicts two former security informers of murder over Munyonyo and Kalerwe operations

ChimpReports reports that earlier in October the military court convicted former security informers Hamza Lyavaala and Walusansa Adiil after they pleaded guilty to murder over the June 2025 security operations in Munyonyo and Kalerwe, in which two women identified by security agencies as suspected ADF suicide bombers were killed. Prosecutors implicated a former Director of Special Operations, who denies wrongdoing.
