Ministries miss Education Committee meeting on teacher salary disparities; committee summons them

Nile Post reported that the Ministries of Finance, Public Service and Education did not attend a scheduled meeting of Parliament's Education and Sports Committee on salary disparities between arts and science teachers. The committee then summoned the three ministries to appear the following Tuesday. UNATU General Secretary Filbert Baguma warned that teachers might resume industrial action if there was no progress within two weeks.
