Policy & Legislation Verified Uganda (national) 23 Nov 2020 Severity: 1/5

In a press statement, the Ministry of Health said all people intending to travel out of Uganda must pay for COVID-19 tests, have certificates stating travel as the purpose, and test within 120 hours of travel instead of the previous 72 hours. Director-General of Health Services Dr Henry Mwebesa said the change responds to travellers obtaining free tests by claiming to be contacts of confirmed cases, and that government testing for travel costs 180,000 Shillings.
