The Ministry of Health, with development partners and disability advocates, launched Uganda's first national strategic plan for rehabilitation and assistive technology services, according to the Daily Monitor. Permanent Secretary Diana Atwine said earlier interventions lacked a national framework and pledged more government funding; assistive devices were handed to beneficiaries at the launch.
