Policy & Legislation Verified Uganda (national) 12 Oct 2026 Severity: 1/5

The Ministry of Works and Transport suspended the operations of the Uganda Driving Standards Agency to allow investigations into its activities, according to a ministry statement reported by the Daily Monitor. The move came after the United Bus Drivers Association gave notice of a strike over the costs of renewing driver badges and annual refresher training; the ministry also said it would review the refresher training framework and allow online badge renewal.

A national event, not tied to one district.
