The Independent reported that MPs including James Nsaba Buturo and John Twesigye Ntamuhiira objected to new Ministry of Health guidelines under which bodies of COVID-19 victims are disinfected, bagged and handed to families for burial instead of being buried by the Uganda Red Cross. The MPs said the change would spread the disease; State Minister of Health Robinah Nabanja said the government would not reverse the decision.
