MPs Lydia Wanyoto and Odria Alioni signal support for Oboth-Oboth in Speaker race at his thanksgiving

According to The Independent (URN), Mbale City Woman MP Lydia Wanyoto and Aringa South MP Yorke Odria Alioni, both earlier interested in the Speakership, used Jacob Oboth-Oboth's thanksgiving ceremony to back him for Speaker of Parliament. Wanyoto asked to be considered for Deputy Speaker, while Odria said he would await President Museveni's guidance but was comfortable with Oboth-Oboth if Anita Among was not running. At the same event, David Kabanda announced that the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) had endorsed Oboth-Oboth.
