According to the Nile Post, President Museveni met traders' leaders, led by FUTA president John Kabanda, at his Kisozi farm and said the government would compensate traders for losses from the recent Kampala floods once it had reviewed their report. Traders said they lost property worth billions of shillings and, with city officials, linked the flooding to construction works on the Nakivubo Channel. Presidential Advisor Kellen Kiconco said the traders had resolved to back Museveni in the coming elections.

A national event, not tied to one district.
