Museveni threatens to dismiss ministers over poverty programmes, announces PDM funding rise

Addressing the first sitting of the 12th Parliament at Kololo, President Museveni said he would sack any minister whose area he found had not implemented wealth creation programmes. He announced that Parish Development Model funding would rise from Shs100 million to Shs200 million per parish each year and warned the new parliamentary leadership against diverting public resources.
