National Drug Authority announces nationwide crackdown on illegal herbal medicine advertising and sales

NDA spokesperson Abiaz Rwamwiri told journalists in Kampala that the authority had begun a countrywide operation against vendors who advertise and sell unregistered herbal products, warning that offenders would be prosecuted. He said the crackdown was not aimed at legitimate herbal medicine, according to the Daily Monitor.
